Carrabba's Team Blythe Wins Race in St. Petersburg
In late October 2003 the team traveled
to St. Petersburg for the National Championships. The team was
able to finish the race in first place and left St. Petersburg
in second place in the national championship point standings
for the season. St. Petersburg was an excellent venue and the
city rolled out the red carpet. The race was able to be seen
from the race village or out on the peir. Over 200,000 spectators
came to St. Petersburg for race weekend. The race was on flat
waters. Our boat was driven by Todd Blythe and wife, Bonnie
throttled the boat. We are very pleased with second place overall
standings in the championships. The race was covered by FOX's
SpeedVision TV, so be sure to check your local listings.
A very special thanks to Emil at the St. Petersburg Carrabba's
restaurant. He and his staff were fabulous. The team was on
hand to sign autographs and give out photos. The boat was
on display at race village over the weekend where public got
to get up close and personal with the boat and the race team.
The boat was viewed by 1000s of people over the weekend.
We would also like to thank the staff at Best Western for
fabulous accommodations and all their support throughout the
weekend. |

The boat on display in race village. Our location was adjacent
to the major roadway so car traffic could also get a glimpse
of the boat. |
Carrabba's
banner was proudly displayed at the race village for the public
to see, as well as some golf cart traffic passing by the village.

Bonnie and Todd getting ready to go racing! This photo was taken
in the wet pits. The public was allowed in the wet pits which
always adds to the excitement of race day. |
