Carrabba's Team Blythe Wins in the Bahamas

Carrabba's Team Blythe packed it's bags and headed for National Championships in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, The Bahamas expecting a good race for the National APBA title. Carrabba's Team Blythe was able to start the race in first, hold it's lead and finish the race easily in first place to take home it's sixth checkered flag for the 2002 race season. Owner, Todd Blythe throttled the boat across the blue Carribean seas while his wife, Bonnie Blythe was behind the wheel in the drivers seat.

The race was just outside the beautiful coral reefs and the water was especially rough on the outside of the reefs. As the boats came into the inside of the reef, about 50 feet off the beach where the tens of thousands of spectators were viewing the race, the water was calm giving the team the best of both worlds. Rough outside, smooth inside. This venue had one of the greatest viewing areas for the spectators this season. If they couldn't catch it in person they were able to listen to the radio broadcast or the television coverage on the Bahama's local network or FOX's Speed Channel.

While in the Bahamas the team stayed at the Best Western, Castaways Resort and Suites courtesy of Mr. Barnett.
